14.2 HH Paso Fino Mare. Broke to ride, has an awesome gait! Very responsive under saddle. Rides in a rope halter. Never offered to buck or rear. Trailers/ties. Stands for farrier well. Needs work with the vet. Rescued her from bad situation. She is currently barefoot (natural trim).

She knows all her cues under saddle very well, and rides well in the arena. She is nervous outside the arena and needs a confidant, experienced rider. She is gentle with children, but is not a child's horse. She is very un-trusting until you have worked with her. Needs a gentle hand.

Good home only, looking for natural horsemanship type home who will return her to me if things don't work out. I truly believe she would make a very good horse for someone who has the time to work with her. She is extremely smart, and picks up on things very quickly. Trial period ok. Price (free) reflects the current horse market, we are moving across country in March, and the fact that she was a rescue so I have no desire to try and make money from her sale.

I wonder, if someone rescues a horse, like this great person did, could DNA help to find the horses papers?

She's really a very nice looking mare.

DNA can confirm or deny parentage but it can't look through the entire database of paso finos and pick out the parents. SOME DAY:biggrin: though. so if you THINK you know who the horse is you can confirm it with a test. But if you don't have a clue it would be $50 for every test against every horse on file. A bit pricey I'd say.

Now THAT does not look like a rescue....it's apparent she's been rescued for some time. That horse is in prime condition. Does anyone here think this horse is too thin? She is of optimum weight. This is what our horses should look like...any more than that and they are too fat, putting them at the risk of founder and a multitude of other problems.
She's lovely....sigh, like Radiante, I've got to quit looking at these posts. :(

I think she looks good. She's not a rescue anymore, but she IS free, which could put her at risk of going through the same situation that Tami Pinell's horses did, hence her being put here.

I would love to have this mare. I checked to see what it would cost for shipping to Fl. and its just to much for me right now. Very nice mare, and papers mean nothing to me anymore, all I want is a horse to ride two or three days a week that is smooth smooth smooth.
