Some of you may know that my daughter Katie (Ritmicorox5) owns the number one horse Ritmico de DL. I would like to congratulate all the other owners whose horses made the list as well. I would especially like to congratulate the two other kids, Katy Rowe and Alex Klepak who had horses on the list as well. That four of the ten horses on the list are owned and shown by 14 year old girls is amazing. It shows the caliber not only of the horses but these riders as well, who in order to place on this list are competing against mainly adults. If you have a child who shows, you know that when showing in a youth class the points go to the
rider, not the horse, so that in addition to the points counted toward the high point total, these girls all had numerous youth points as well not included in this total. Congratulations again to all of you.

Great job girls! Congratulations!
Congrats on being #1 ! I couldn't believe the magazine screwed up and published the wrong pictures on both our geldings. They claimed they couldn't get pictures from Larry Williams, so ended up using ones from Alex's youth edition pictures, including one where Pistolero is a yearling and Alex is 12 rather than one of her riding Pistolero. I hope the new publisher is better than the old one.
I believe kids take riding and showing a lot more seriously than many of the adults. I am sure the fact that 4 of the Top Ten Geldings were being shown by kids is going to start more complaints from the A/O adult riders (and some of the pros, too). Maybe that's why they weren't allowed to show at the Grand Prix in the money classes.

Kids do a wonderful job showing, they are serious, many are more experienced than the adults showing paso finos and - you also have that "cute" factor!!!! Is it any wonder we geezers are fearful of competing with them!!!!
