trocha breeders?

Are there any trocha breeders in midwest or anywhere in USA? I noticed a number of galop breeders but no trocha breeders.
Looking for demo ride, and someone interested in performing demo at event.

All kidding aside, there is Rodrigo Brand here in Texas that has a Trote y Galope stallion. Whether or not he breeds and breeds for trocha, I couldn't tell ya. He does do demonstrations.
Wouldn't you use Trote y Galope to breed for trocha, that is, if you were going to, I mean? As opposed to using a fino horse.

wow - that is a pretty strong attack against those that breed diagonals. I didnt ask them to breed a PFHA horse or bring a trocha PFHA registered horse.

I am looking specifically for a horse that performs the correct trocha gait, not a poorly gaited paso fino.

Siggy that was joke as was quite clear.

There's somebody on here with a trocha mare who was going to breed her to a T&G stallion I think because there are no trocha stallions available that she likes or something like that. But there are some in the US but I'd bet the southeast and particularly the Miami area - maybe Ocala also. Check the BB's with a lot of Colombians on them - they'll know probably.

Check Youtube because there are a lot of trocha horses with videos on there and some list the owner and contact info.

NO problem with your request - just not a lot diagonal breeders in the US. Why not email Lori Perez and get the names of the breeders in the area you are interested in. She's on here and you can PM her or email her from the ATTA website. I've emailed them a number of times and gotten quick responses from them. Good luck with your search but I think that would be the absolute fastest way to find one.

You know...in defense of my post, and it was a joke...very tongue in cheek, most of you know me by now, I love to add a bit of humor to a situation that usually is taken too seriously....

Us breeders have been hounded for years that we ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT BREED ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT GAIT PERFECTLY....soooo....when I see a question like yours...I'm sorry, but that first silly comment came to my mind...

And you did ask if there was anyone who would do a demo at an event....Senor Brand is more than willing to demo his stallion at an event.

Yes, it is true there are just a handful of Trocha Pura horses. Most are in the SE of the USA

Carol - FYI The Trocha horse of today has the purest gait (bloodlines) of all the Paso modalities, and they are cherished by their breeders. That is one reason why there are so few here in the USA, the breeders from South America don't want to sell them:)

Today would be a great opportunity to see what the true Colombian Trocha Pura horses look like, hear the gait, etc.
