My vet uses Fort Dodge. All 4 I had vaccinated last week had a bad reaction. I did the West Nile/EWT combo. Won't do that again

Hmmm...I've used Ft Dodge combo (EWT, West Nile, Tetanus) for 4 years or so...on 10 horses a year. Never had a reaction. Just bought a vial today and was going to give shots tomorrow. Was going to give rabies shots, too, but the vet supply store said they were out and won't get any in for months....

I had the vet vaccinate everyone at the beginning of April. I'm really not sure which he used. Two shots. I had two horses that got hot lumps, but that is fairly normal and were gone within 2 days. No other bad reactions.

I can't even remember what section of this forum I posted this prevenile shot recall in. Oh well.

I don't mix the west nile shot and the others. Several vets advised against it. We've given the Ft Dodge since probably it came on the market in 99 or 2000. Never had a reaction but expensive to do it twice a year in FL. Gave the Prevenile at least two years with no problems.
