This is a crosspost from flahorse.com, can someone help him? I've got too many as it is so I can't.

While picking up a used hay ring today, I noticed a thin pony. I was told by the neighbors that the owner was thinking of trying to find it a home. They went with me, and I inquired about the animal.

The owner told me the pony (14.2hh) was a Paso, and that she has owned him for 15 years. She kept him for a companion to her old horse, who just died at the age of 36. She said he rides, but hasn't been out in years. She said he's 21. She also said he's spooky on trails, but I'm getting the impression that shes not real smart when it comes to horses. I also know that she has not ridden this horse herself. Pony is UTD on shots, but not coggins. She didn't feel a coggins was needed since he never leaves the property. Pony is about 100lbs underweight right now. He's got a cute head on him, more refined looking. Chestnut in color. She says he gaits well.

Neighbors say they've known this lady for a long time. They say she cannot afford to care for the pony anymore and it really needs to go to a new home quick. It was turned out into a sand and weed pasture, and there was no hay I could see.

If anyone on here is interested, please let me know and I'll forward the info to you. He needs pulled soon.

We are working on it. Not sure what the outcome will be yet, but am hopeful that arrangements can be made.

Still waiting on more info. There is a gal up that way who has offered to pick him up and quarantine him until we can make the arrangements to get him. He is 4 hours north of me and right now getting away for a full day is next to impossible. We are trying to sort out the details, I will let you know as soon as I know something.
