For those of you who read her gaited horse books, she passed away

I Think She Went Riding

You slipped away from us last night,
Gone riding.

So many horses came to carry you
silently, softly, gently.

Ethereal steeds with heavenly gaits,
grateful you understood them.

They took you home under the moonlight,
they knew the way.

I know you felt the wind in your hair again,
experienced complete freedom.

Utterly content in the scent of leather and horse,
as you always were when you
Went riding.

Oh, how very sad. She was truely a dedicated and wonderful horsewoman and led a life that shared so much.

I am sure she is in horse heaven, the "gaited community" section.

Her life will live on in her books, may she rest in peace.

Her trials are over and she left a great lagacy, God bless her family now.

That is a beautiful poem, very moving.

Lee's departure was a great loss to the gaited community as a whole. Fortunately she left a wonderful legacy which we all can share.
She will be missed.

Such sad news. God bless Lee, her family and friends. I believe there are horses in heaven so she very well may be riding through those beautiful, peaceful pastures,where no pain and suffering can touch her now.

Ellis and I were doing a private party last night at Wellborn Quarter horse Ranch and as I was walking past one of the tables I overheard one of the ladies telling another about an author of gaited horse books who had passed away in her sleep and until i saw this post i did not connect the two. May god bless her family and recieve her across the Rainbow Bridge to once again run free with all her family and 4 legged friends. IPFYH
