Chetola Farms in Monroe NC will be hosting a Local pointed amateur owner/youth show on March 11th, and it will include a Mundial clinic Saturday morning. On Sunday, the Mundial clinic continues, and an amateur-owner clinic will begin at 10AM. See page 94 of the March Paso Fino Horse World for more details, or contact Kathy Williams. Here are a few details:

Clinic fee (includes lunch) $35.00 one day, $55.00 both days

show fees $35.00 per pointed class, $15.00 per non-pointed class.

They have an indoor arena, so the clinics and show will go on, rain or shine.

Adults are welcome too

2:00 pm- until : Piedmont Amatuer and Youth Show: Ellen Perez and Cindy Griffith (judges)

Youth Mundial Practice Classes after the regular pointed show.

Sunday 10:00 am- Rider's Clinic-
Paul Marlow - working with young horses
Magda Reid - Adult centered riding and equitation
Julio Rua- Lasar light therapy/
Shaw Laney - bitting the horse/open questions and demos
Judges Forum- "Ask the Judges" this session will be for
sharing information from the latest judges and stewards
clinic in Tampa Florida and for questions about rule
changes etc. for this show year.

DIRECTIONS TO CHETOLA FARMS – 1602 Starnes Cemetery Rd.
Monroe, N.C. 28112 – 704-764-8253
FROM 85 SOUTH: (Gastonia, Greenville, Spartanburg): Take 485 East towards Matthews, take the Johnston Rd exit and go south on Hwy 521. Go through Ballentyne and on into South Carolina. Pass a horse farm on the right that has lots of white fencing and a sign that says Larkspur. Look for a green sign that points left towards Waxhaw. Take this left onto Hwy 75. Take this road all the way through town and as you leave town you will take a sharp curve to the right. After the curve, bear to the right and take Old Waxhaw-Monroe Hwy. After the round church and cemetery on the right, take a right on Providence Rd. Go 2 miles and take a left on Brady.At the end of Brady, take a right on Potter Rd. At the stop sign take a left on Lancaster Hwy. Go 4 miles and take a right at the light which is Hwy 522/Rocky River Rd. (There is no street sign). Go 3 miles and take a left on Ruben Rd. Take the next right at the school on Prospect School Rd. At the end of Prospect School take a right on Plyler Mill Rd. and then the next left on Starnes Cemetery Rd. Farm is at the end of the road.

FROM HWY 74 WEST- (Charlotte): Follow 74 all the way to Monroe. When you pass the very small Monroe Mall on your right, look for a KFC. Right after the KFC, exit off to the right on Concord Ave. ( Also 601/200). Follow Concord Ave to town. Go under the railroad trestles and go through the next 4 lights. At the last light take a right and continue on Hwy 200. (Concord Ave is also Charlotte Ave and Hwy 200). After the school on your left, take a left on Griffith Rd. Go 5 miles and take a left on Plyler Mill Rd. Go 5 more miles and turn left on Starnes Cemetery Rd. Farm is at end of Rd.

FROM HWY 74 East- (Rutherfordton, Laurinburg): Follow 74 into Monroe. Look for a shopping center on the right called Hilltop Plaza. Take a left on Franklin St. When you see the hospital on your right, you will take the left on Sunset Ave. At the end of Sunset, take a left on Griffith and follow the directions as above.

FROM HWY 521/ROCKY RIVER- (Camden or Lancaster): Take 522 north and follow into N.C. When you see a horse facility on the left called Carolina Acres, take the rd right across from this to the right. This is Trinity Church Rd. Follow Trinity Church until it ends. (there is a white farm house on the corner). Take a left on Plyler Mill Rd. Stay on Plyer Mill a couple of miles until you see Starnes Cemetery Rd. on your right. Take this right and go to the end of the road.
