Well who will be attending the festival. I might go, I know my mom is going for sure. It is really cool they have a website it is www.Southernhorsefestival.com. They have this thing at the end of the day called the mane event. All kinds of acts with horses come out and do their thing, but it explains about that on the site. It is going on until sunday. And there will be a paso booth :D .

hope to see some of you there!

I will try to get some pics when I go back on Sunday. I helped set up today; the booth looks very nice. Lynn did a great job on it -- very festive with lots of great pictures of the many advantages and talents of Paso Finos. I assisted Kerry in hanging red drapery to cover the less-than-attractive stall walls. My job was to hand things to Kerry and try not to get distracted by all the pretty horses clip-clopping by. On either side of the booth is a horse stall. In one stall, there is a darling black Dartmoor pony; I got lots of kisses from him today. In the other stall, Milda Minter has a beautiful three-year-old filly -- lots of kisses in there too! Ya'll come out this weekend if you can!

I'll have pics to put on Piedmont's website probably on Monday. Our Piedmont PFHA exhibit won 3rd place as Best Breed Exhibit! ;-)

I have ideas to improve it more for next year....we want the red or blue ribbon!

That was "Paso Fino" from the NC Horse News forum. Her name is Lorraine, and I cannot recollect her last name. I saw her in the other building the NC Horse Council booth. Hmmm...I wonder if I won anything in their raffle?

I think that the booth looked very nice. It gave testament to the versatility of the Paso Fino. I spent some time with two guys today explaining to them that that "funny little walk" was only the tip of the iceberg!

I know Lorraine....last name Searcy. She came by with Cindy from the NC Horse Council to our booth. I have known both for awhile now....thru the horse council plus Cindy lives near my dad.
