LOL. My free turtle ended up cosing $170.

Did you get him a light yet? Those sliders really like to bask in the warm light. *you will note a good light will cost you around $40.

Your new turtle looks just like my Slider. 8-) He is a little piggy and eats all the time.

One word of advice, don't feed it. It will only get bigger if you do. Then you will need a bigger aquarium and more stuff. It is an endless cycle. I have now lost track of what my son's free sliders have cost us. And they are growing like weeds. I asked my husband the other day what we were going to do when we needed to fill the basement with water in order to house the turtles. Much thanks go to my sister for the wonderful birthday present. :D And they are only a year and a half old.

I think you've been taking lessons from Lori! ROFL

...you'll never get a big enough turtle for soup if you don't feed that little bugger.

Yep FREE just means you don't have to pay for it THEN sink money into it.He's a cute turtle though and i'd be willing to bet you've got a real happy child right about now.Your paso friend,Moniece

I got a free horse - well mini - and free goats - and free cats. I don't even want to know how much they have cost me - but I will say - the free mini mare has been a real blessing as a companion animal and birthday party pony (for free of course - can't charge family!)
