Did anybody watch the Sport Horse Cup on Animal Planet?

Last evening?
That was a great competition! I see that some of those horses are located in AIKEN..S.C, Aaron Vale's "string"... Stella's "neighborhood"...

I sure loved watching Beezie, Leslie and the rest of the long time established riders.....it was quite a show....had I lived in New York, I'd have surely gone! Love those Grand Prix jumpers!

I watched it. I liked Beezie's comment that these horses are freaks in a nice sort of way. She has a point! I am in awe of anyone that can jump like that, I'm such a big chicken.

Coreen...all my life I have been AFRAID to jump higher than 3 feet on a horse....! I grew up around Hunter/Jumpers! I'm the one who rode them over cavalettis to "get them in shape"...adjust their strides, etc...but jump over 3 feet...NOPE..not me!

I like the show but I was really hooked on Horse Power that came on before it. WOW those youth riders were unbelievable!!!!

I saw it! Lost was a rerun so I watched it instead. Also watched Horse Power before it, got hooked on that series.

Those horses are amazing! Sometimes I wish I had stayed in jumping, that is where I first started with horses when I was a kid. But it was just too expensive for my parents to keep up with the lessons.

Then the PFHA association moved in down the street from my house and the rest is history.

Paintedhorizon - I taped it if you want it sent to you....as long as it taped okay, was an old tape. But Animal Planet shows reruns a lot so I am sure it will come on again.

No, sorry didn't tape Horse Power.

I did find that the Sport Horse Cup is being replayed on Monday, the 13th, at 8 pm and 11 pm. But I can still send the video if you'd like, just email or pm me with address to send it to.

Last night's episode of Horse Power is set to replay on March 11 at 2 pm.

Yes, my "neighborhood" is hopping with horses, this weekend is a CT Driving event, and the Aiken Trials start next- Which are weekend racing(one flats, one steeplechase, with very elaborate tailgating).....combined training events last few weekends, in a row.....

Sat our PF trailride, next weekend, Audobon Ride....and the prize list/entry form is out for the Gaited Dressage nearby at Jasmine Farms schooling show....

Loved the "technical stuff" description:

Now, that's MY kind of show manager!
Interestingly enough, the farm/owner show manager started in gaited horses, moved to western, and then H/Js then dressage! Ok, she's only in her mid 30s, we'll see in 15-20 years if she comes full circle! I met her once briefly, but sounds like I'd like to get to know her better - certainly an all-around open-minded horse lover!
We should have 6-7 pasos there....
