Mark your calendar for August 6th and join us for our first
Western Canadian Paso Fino Friends Get Together!
Sunday, August 6th.
Being that the majority of people who are willing and able to help with our first Paso Fino Friends ride are close to central Alberta we have decided to host our first ride in the Edmonton area.
The actual location of the ride has not yet been determined but there are quite a few good places to ride around here. I have not as yet found a place locally that will let us have a horse camp, but I will keep trying. If I can not find a camping spot you are all welcome to bring your horses to our farm. It is not fancy and I do not have any box stalls but I do have a few holding pens that will be available on a first response basis. We can offer you fresh water, some mowed grass and an outhouse. Hopefully most of you will have portable pens that you can use, or if your horses are used to electric fences the step in posts work well. Please bring your camping gear and a lawn chair for everyone in your crew. We will look into setting up a common area where people can get together to visit.
Even if you cannot bring a horse and ride, please do come out and join us. This is all about fun and friendship. We really would love to meet you. Also, please make sure that you tell all your other Paso Fino friends to come and join us.
We have some non-riders here that have kindly volunteered to cook us a Sunday morning pre-ride pancake breakfast and a post-ride supper. There will likely be a small fee to cover the cost of the food. We will let you know more details as things are finalized!
