I now have 7 farriers (all related brothers, sons, and cousins) and there are few with nice pockets...but I'm pretty sure I'd chase them all away if I wanted to take pictures. You're a good sport Ed!

Yes, much to my surprise (Ed is really good at that), I was able to ride Phoebe. I never dreamed that I would be getting on her back during the visit, and - I did not ride her in an arena! I got to ride her in the woods, through the pond, through the pond a few more times, up a steep bank, down a steep bank, out in the open, past her pasture mates etc...WOW. She is AWESOME. She is carrying herself really nicely, nice and smooth gait. She can walk like a normal horse and handles everything like a champ. She is easy to settle down if she gets wound up. The whole lateral flexion thing really does work!

Added bonus - Ed has worked with her front feet and has really shaped them up. They finally look like normal hooves.

I can't thank him enough for everything he has done with her. She was scared of everything when she started. Now, she is much braver and has learned to manage her fear. Ed has just a bit more polishing to do and then she gets to come home. I CAN'T WAIT!
