Always nice to be able to spread the word about the advantages of the pure Puerto Rican bloodlines!

Here's my first contribution of Kofresi and his son Antares...

Hi Sandy! So glad to see you here! And your horses are beautiful! I hope we can all continute to share and learn about these wonderful horses.

I would like to have a stallion gallery of some the old great ones! If you have any pix you can share with us for the site, please let me know.

I really want to bring the new paso people and educate them, so they are able chat more with the more experienced paso people and learn. Being new to this breed, it is so hard to find information all in one place. It is difficult to figure out the differences in gait, what is trocha, what is the difference between PPR and Col. paso, which stallions are which, as well as all the versatile things pasos can do. I want to have a "spotlight" section each month to bring to the surface different trainers, farms, horses, and things you can do with your paso. Americans usually don't get into the whole show thing until AFTER they have already fallen in love with the breed. So we have to show them all the things pasos can do, so they can then fall in love with their heritage as well.

I want to showcase not only Colombian horses, but PPR ones. The public (myself included) needs a place to go to see pix, video, and get info on these horses, so we can make good breeding decisions instead of just recognizing a name on a pedigree.

I have a million ideas! I just hope I can get the site up as fast as my mind is working!

This is great!!

I have never really been into bloodlines but I know my new 3yr old pasofino gelding storm has good blood lines. I just dont know if they are PPR or Columbian??

Here is what he has in him:
-Generala Que Tal
-Gallopa Que Tal
-Belmonte
-Hilaclias
-ElPasor
-Majestuoso
-Lunares
-Yoconda

Those are on his pedigree list.. So are they any good? Are they PPR??

Thanks for this wondeful forum! I am ready to learn a bit more about my boys! :D

All of those Pasos are Colombian. Pure PR horses will go back - eventually - to Dulce Sueño, Batalla, Guamanî, Estrella, La Bruja, Kofresî, Papyrus, Arco Iris, Cialito, among others.... many horses with the 'de Vez' farm name suffix in this country have some pure Puerto Rican blood.[/quote]
