Hi all...new here from Mass

Hello....I am new to owning a Paso Fino. I've owned my Morgan for 5 yrs, and now I finally have a Paso Fino to add to the "collection"/work in progress. Ha!
My Morgan is an 8yr old mare, all true black, and a little spitfire (I LOVE her)....she's boss mare around these parts.
My Paso is a 13yr old gelding, dapple grey, and hot, hot, hot...lots of brio...and its GREAT! He's such a sweetie, too.

I just bought a trailer, so I am really looking forward to this summer!

oh, I love your dapple gray! What is his name? And a morgan is my 2nd favorite breed. Have you had him out on the trials yet? And how far are you from Myles Standish so Erin and I can meet you there. Do you keep them home or board? I've got 2 pasos a black (who will look nice standing next to your gray) and a bay.
This will be a fun Paso summer!

I've had him out on the trails many times now....I actually board :roll: , but its right around the corner from Myles Standish...so I'm lucky in that respect. So I'll be trailering both of my ponies quite often....my Morgan keeps up with the Pasos rather well.

I have a friend who will be horse camping there everyother weekend all summer. I am hoping to meet up with her sometimes. Big groups go out from the equine camp ground on weekend mornings.

Welcome True Step! You have a very beautiful dapple gray there. You should check out the gray thread and post his pretty picture there with all the other gray beauties. I have two zebra dun Pasos: filly and gelding. My daughters have a gray Arabian mare and my husband has a black TWH, so we are definitely multi-breed.

You think I should tell people I trim? For some reason, I'm always weary of telling people, because it comes with the stigma that I'm a "closed minded horse hippie"....but the truth is my Morgan is living proof that nature is the best way to pull your horse from the grave after you've tried everything that conventional medicine/hoofcare threw at us. It is a long story....I'll tell you some time. I try to let people come to me - if they are on the same page, it will eventually come up. I've only kept 10 clients because of my fulltime job, but I ALWAYS make room for dedicated people in need......and I love discussing it with other believers!

Natural Hoofcare is not controversial in my barn, either...the way it should be!

You have zebra duns?!? They must be so gorgeous! I love buckskins/duns/grullas...anything with those primative colors and markings (zebra, dorsal stripe, etc). Send me some pics some time..I would LOVE to see your horses!

Very nice pictures!! I had a black morgan mare (with brown muzzle) when I was in high school. Her name was Sadie.... I just loved her.

Baileyholc, my Paso was cortoing that day, and the kids LOVED it....the 'toothless' kid is such a sweetie, and he just loves horses. He could definetely end up being a cowboy someday.

Have to been to the Paso training place near you? I think it's Paso Fino del Fuego. I went when I first got Scooter and learned so much from just one visit. They were wonderful. I'd like to go back this year.

Yes, I go to del Fuego often...thats where my Paso is from. You should go there on Saturday, and ride with us! The news is saying it supposed to rain, but ya never know here in New England......besides, theres always the indoor arena!

Cool....oh, yeah - my Morgan can definetely keep up with the Pasos! She has a very smooth trot, too. In fact, the other day, we got tired of the Pasos pace, so we cantered off ahead - she can canter FOREVER without breaking a sweat...keep up with that! Competetive trail riding, here we come! ;-)
