Anyone familiar with this? I picked up a brochure this weekend at the Miami show...

I did it for a long time then got lazy,
You log the hours send it in ,and get a gift, it is nice,
makes you feel like you are working toward a goal.
and the patch they send has the hours each time you send them in.
I had a few. but once again I was lazy and never did anything with them.

it is also good market material if you are selling a trail Paso.

you can ride ANY reg. Paso and log the hours.

the hours count for YOUR butt time in the saddle, not the horse.

Wish we got credit for the hours we spend _driving_ them to the places we ride! Although we have gone to some pretty cool places within 2-3 hours of us... :D

Yeah, I did it for a while. It's really a good program, I got up to like 1000 points but I'm like ErinC and got lazy. :D It's for non show riding ONLY..... so basically whenever you ride just not at a show.

It's a fun program. You do have to be motivated to keep your log up. And you have to pay a one time $25 fee to "join". That's it. As you reach each level you send in a copy of your log to PFHA (always keep a copy for yourself) and they send you a patch with the hours on it and a prize. You can ride any Paso. Just make sure you get their full name and their registration number as that is a requirement for the log. It's fun to look back and see a record of all the places you've ridden and the activities you've done while riding. Currently Ed (Casillas) and I are working on the 2500 hour level. Our last completed level was 1750 hours. Wish I'd started participating when the program first started; would easily be at the top (5000 hours) by now!

Do you have to own a horse to particapate? Can you count the hours you are riding on someone elses horse, if you are riding it?
