Trocha Y Galope
It is a combined modality. where it is desired that the horse complies with the definition, rhythm, cadence, brio and further qualities of Pure Colombian Trocha, and also may start and sustain a galope with naturalness. These horses have different conformation from the Pure Colombian Trocha; it is larger and bigger conformation, typical of galope horses. Judges shall be very careful in the analysis of this gait because they are to severely penalize those horses who have been pushed, either by artificially speeding the trot, which is evidenced in the sonority of the two clearly defined beats or those which being only Trocha are forced to gallop in a movement which will sound in four beats, when horses do not have the natural talent, it will not allow that its appearance is collected and the rider will have a rough movement. The Trocha Y Galope horse is the result of the selection of Trocha horses which had the natural disposition to do the transition to gallop, offering great comfort to the rider. Like in Trocha, the crossing of horses with the same particular conditions ended up to fix characteristics which were proper of a combined gait, with completely defined characteristics, very pleasant for the rider
