We went last year, and it was fun, but since it's a "been there, seen it" show, we were wondering if it was going to be pretty similar, or if there was anything "can't miss".
In other words, we've narrowed that weekend down to two events, and it's sudden-death round.

It will be the same as last yr I've been there a few times. My opton I don't like it.Don't like the stalls, footing, bath area pretty much everything I'm goint to the one in Murfreesbore in Aug.Thats a fun show with barrel racing and poles and also Champion of champion class.arean and footing good but is red dirt.I picked the AL show over the Spring TN show its another fun show.

The Shelbyville show will have a Free Dinner, Adult Fun Classes with prizes, a Stallion exhibition ( with Prometido de Selecta ) and Youth Fun Classes with prizes on Saturday night. Also, the Youth will have a pizza party on Friday night and get to draw for show vouchers ranging from $10 - $200 to be applied to their show fees. The arena is located on the same property as the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. It is an indoor climate-controlled arena. The show personnel provides coffee and danish and sausage and biscuits every morning. They will cater to your every need. There will be vendors and the association always has one of the best silent auctions. You have to come and have fun with your horse. You will not be disappointed and you will keep coming back. Please contact me, Kathy Yarbrough, the show's chairperson if you have any questions at klyarbrough@comcast.net. I assure you will want to come to the August show in Murfreesboro as well on August 18 - 20, 2006 at the MTSU Livestock Pavillion. This arena is indoor and climate-controlled as well. Last year, we gave away 3 brand new show saddles to the fun class winners. Each saddle costs $1,800. The year before, we gave away a 42 inch plasma TV valued at $3,500. If you want to be a vendor for either show, all we ask is that you donate an item to our silent auction and your booth space is free. Again, please come and see for yourself how we love our Paso Finos. [/list]

Hey Kathy. I heard the August Murfreesboro show was going to be held in the old facility. Is this true?

The Tennessee Valley Paso Fino Horse Assn.,'s August 18 - 20 show will be in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the Middle Tennessee State University's Livestock Center(Pavilion). It is located on the MTSU campus off of Greenland Drive. This is the facility where we once had our shows in the past. There is easier access to and from the barns to the arena. There is no red clay. The arena is indoor and climate-controlled, so we will be very comfortable in August. It is a great facility. Please come and enjoy the great hospitality, food, fun and our wonderful Paso Finos. If I can answer any of your other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Hope to see you soon, Kathy
