Its my FAVORITE time of year!!! I will be able to practically work myself to death from dawn till dusk!! BUT...just wait till you see this place come mid-summer..... !! Its been a steady job of improvements...and its about to "come together"..... how I look forward to the day I have no more pens/fence/shelters to build!!! Then...perhaps a covered round pen...yeah, yeah thats the ticket!!
I'm just a work-a-holic...I'm a SLAVE to horses I tell ya...and
I BET SOME OF YOU ARE TOO !!

ROFL...It is amazing how spring brings that out in you...can't wait for the fields to dry up enough to get the tractor out and the corals mucked and reset with clean fill, the gardens in, all the horses shed out...yes, lots to do and can't wait!
Looks like my first week of 'freedom' will be spent doing spring cleaning though - we have rain, rain, and more rain scheduled. The mountains have over 200 inches of snow now...it'll flood this spring for sure.

I feel the same way to Terry. I am also a workaholic. But I never get everything done. I was making a list last night and thinking I can work really late now. I can't wait to start baling hay. I bought a round baler this winter. Can't wait to learn how to use it. I will not have a need to hire any boys to stack hay on the wagons now. Also, we are planning on building a house on our 70 acres this summer. It is going to be a busy year. :D

I love this time of year.
Got all my veggies planted, tomatos, carrots, cucumbers, radishes, onions and lots more. Ain't it great to see what comes up and provides us with food?
We grow a lot of our own things here at Emerald Acres and can them like my mom taught me to do.
