It's been snowing hard since 7:30 this morning. UGH!

I feel like poop, my hands look like 2 balloons, they are so swollen. My elbows, wrists, and knees are throbbing, that is why I haven't been posting much lately. Sucks to be me, huh?

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and allergies (horse and tree), both can cause edema in the hands. I have been doing a lot of raking a lot of leaves and grooming of shedding horses, so both have been an issue as of late. My joints ache because I am old and fat. 'Nuff said. :(

Is that a new pasture for them?? The scene outside my barn looked about the same.....lots of snow!

 We just had close to 3" of rain - crocus are out - so must be spring!
It is frustrating - want to bring in stone and sand and can't - trucks would sink !
Can't work any of the horses - too wet and muddy! "sigh"

We're expecting rain/snow tomorrow and Thursday..which means WIND ahead of the front. I have allergies and asthma, so know how you feel Barbara. I am taking shots for my allergies so ONE DAY I won't be allergic to all the grass, weeds, and trees (I am not allergic to horses, dogs, or cats - go figure - but you can get shots for them too). It takes 2-5 years to go through all the shots, but I figure it will be worth it if I can be a normal person again.

I feel for/with you Barbara.

We have mud right now too. It's supposed to be 70 today and 78 tomorrow though!! Hope it dries some of it up. Usually the wind helps. Haven't had any of that for a few days. Don't worry, Barb. Winter's not over for us by a long shot. Last year we had a foot of snow on May 18th!!

Hope you're feeling better soon. :hug

Is that a new pasture for them??

Nope, that is just a 50 x 100 foot pen in the front yard that we built for the baby mule we had years ago. The new pasture will be around 3 1/2 acres. Work has not begun on it, but I tore down the fence for the 1 acre pasture I already had. I was foolish enough to believe the excavater when he said he would start ASAP. Now the boys are stuck in the little pen in the front yard until things get done out back, or I refence part of the paddock that was attached to the barn.

Say Barb... have you had a blood test for R/A? That is the same thing that happens to me... but on me..its R/A...

PS..I have carpal tunnel too..that is why everything I make is screwed together...and not hammered & nailed...and the reason I don't shoe horses anymore too...I have to hire it done, or suffer for days afterward if I hammer...

Nuts! My post about carpal tunnel and ART disappeared! Did you read it, Terry Wallace and Barbwire?

If not, drop me a PM and I'll explain why you do NOT have to live with carpal tunnel syndrome ... and you do NOT have to have painful and debilitating surgery ... and I am NOT a quack!
