Hi!

Just thought I'd say Hello! to everyone, as I am a new member and am new to Pasos.

I rec'd a very warm welcome from DebbieS already, who encouraged me to join in all the fun!

I became a proud owner of my very first Paso Fino mare last September. She's a very expressive little mare, and will tell you all about her day with little snorts. Kynesha is a little over 14 hands, 10 yrs old and pretty laid back (for a Paso!) Not sure what color she is - either a smutty buckskin or a funky bay (sire is black, dam is buckskin). Currently she's not registered, but I have all the paperwork, just not looking forward to paying that huge fee to register her! Ky does have Capuchinno and a few other big names in her pedigree. She can trocha and canter plus do the corto & largo. Such an awesome little mare!

The facilites that I board all my horses, at trains all gaited horses and stands at stud Kynesha's sire. So, I have my own personal Paso expert! LOL Too bad she doesn't give lessons :-?

Along with Ky, I have a 29 yr old Appendix Quarter Horse mare (Scheme) and a 4 yr old Arabian / Mustang filly (Memo). I'm in the process of buying a Mustang (JunieB), who is going to be my old mare's companion and back up riding horse.

I also have 3 dogs (Shasha, Razz, & Skippy) and 2 cats (Buddy & Cricket)

(No wonder I still live at home!  )

NOW is the time to register! Call PFHA - there is a 'special registration' period right now that could save you hundreds of dollars depending on her age! Hurry!

You can look up the ph # at http://www.pfha.org

Welcome Little-bit (btw, that was my grandfather's nickname his first great grandchild...LOL). You're timing is GREAT. There is a Paso Fino clinic at Sandy Young's just outside Boise that would be fairly convienent for you to attend. It is over Memorial Day weekend. I think all the horse slots are sold (I can check), but you can still audit. There will be tack for sale and LOTS of stuff to learn and see. AND people to meet!!! A whole group from Utah is going up, including me! :-)

And if the time is inconvientent, you might want to hook up with Sandy anyway, she is a great Paso Fino resource in your area and has the ins on lots of activities, rides, clinics and fun shows.

My father was from Northport in Eastern Washington...so I'm roughly familiar with that area of the state.

WELCOME TO THE BB!!!

(my U stands for Utah)
