View Full Version : Mico, my "go to guy"

Yesterday several small children showed up in my back yard hoping for pony rides. One little girl was about 3, I think. Well, Mico was so good, he gave everybody a ride and made many happy faces. This little boy has downs syndrom and was very, very happy to ride a horse. Mico might not look like a show horse or gait perfectly, but he is worth his weight in carrots to me and my pint size friends.

I'm sorry, but I see horses like him all the time. They are NEVER for sale! They are worth their weight in Blue Ribbons.

Look at that smile! What a great horse.

It makes me want to cry when I see horses like this with so much heart. Give him a big hug tonight! What a good boy.

I agree with the above sentiments! He's a good horse for sure. You can see it in his eyes.

What a horse! There should have been a category for horses like him for the anniversary contest! You're very fortunate to have him!

Thank you everybody, I do love the little stinker, he is more puppy than pony and no I will never sell him. He has always been good with kids, wether on the ground or in the saddle, but put an adult on he can become a lot of horse. It is almost like he thinks, "oh, you think you know how to ride?....okay, show me!"

I love those pictures, Terri. I have a couple older horses here like that. I would never sell either one of them. I always know I can trust them with kids around them, brushing them, riding them, whatever. They are the best. You are lucky to have Mico - he's a treasure for sure!!

Yep, ya sure don't put a price on a horse like that. He probably thinks that was his best day! The kid too, that's so cute!
