We are just back from the first show of the season and I must say, we had a pretty good weekend.

Our 4 year old CLassic Fino Filly won her classes both days and placed 3 and 4 in CHampions the first day and 2nd and 3rd the 2nd day for 108 points.

Our Pleasure Mare at her first show was also a winner and while a conflict kept her out of CHampions the first day she won it the 2nd and totaled 108 points.

We just moved our last years Pleasure Filly over to Performance Mares and she also earned her Championship and earned 84 points for the weekend. Not bad for making that big transition.

Our black stallion ran up 140 points in Pleasure and 72 points in Bella Forma which was only offered one day.

Even my 3 year old idiot stallion managed 2 2nds, and 3rd, and a 4th to accumulate 34 points. HE actually looked much better than his placements but he kept screaming his silly adolescent head off and pretty much deafened everyone in the arena. Once he learns to keep his mouth shut he is going to be a really nice Pleasure horse. But it was his first show and he was all excited.<LOL>

Judging was quite good, only occassionally inconsistant, and the judges were pretty strict on excusing horses for failure to gait or misbehaving. Thank goodness there isn't a rule about being overly vocal.

Of course these and several other show/trail horses are available for sale. But these 5 are already pointed for Nationals.(Several with a lot of overkill)<LOL>
I would like to thank the SouthWest PFHA , Ed and Elizabeth Smith for being such fine hosts and the Judges; Helen Frost, Rick Shaffer, German Higuera, and Carmin Cepero most KINDLY for the placements. And of course, Eduardo, Patty, and new baby Daniel Figueroa. You guys ROCK!

THANKS for the congrat! We started with no show record and just green or baby horses and , thanks to Eduardo Figueroa, brought them on to be serious contenders.
The mare we just moved to Performance is a Simbolo De Besilu daughter out of a Plebeyo/PR mare and her first foal is outstanding...... tight, tight Classic Fino. She basically lost most of last year on materinty leave but I am really impressed at her transition from Pleasure Filly to Performance Mare. Hec, it is hard to make the transition from Schooling to Open anyway, much less move up in disclipline. Super pedigree and makes outstanding babies, ideal for a good breeding program. And she backs straight with a touch of your little finger.

And the Pleasure mare, at her first show, dealt with barking dogs ringside and people dumping garbage cans and all totally unflappable with ears perked and
alert. This girl LOVES the show ring. SHe literally SHINES in the ring. She spooks at nothing on trails or in the ring. We found her as almost a pasture pet and she came this far in just a few months of training. Some horses just get UP UP UP for it and she is one. And then, you can go on a trail ride with her and she will relax. She really has an outstanding MIND and a natural gait. A sweety. A perfect first show horse for someone.

The Classic Fino Filly has a totally NATURAL gait. And she is soft, a child can ride her. Very gentle. Anyone can ride. But 15H for a big man. She loves to work but Eduardo is taking her slowly. He is a trainer who never gets rough and reads the horses as to what they are ready for. He does not believe in pushing babies, he brings them on to enhance their abilities. She is still in Schooling. She will get a LOT better. And again, her MIND is right.

THe silly 3 year old colt presents outstanding gait. He is Classic Fino bred. HE just can't wrap his head around that yet. He thinks he is a puppy one minute and the next he is yelling his fool head off. Like most teenage males, of any species, his brains are in his gonads. Of course gelding would cure that, but I hesitate as he has moments of brillience and beauty. He could be gelded at any time, but but but....I hesitate to short circuit his potential. Once gone, they annot grow back. But he is still VERY kind and gentle as a stallion. Not a mean bone in his body....just still a baby horse.

Of course our Black stallion is a force onto himself. Everyone who sees him in the ring gets chills. He is SO SO SO beautiful. He looks like a mini Andalusian. Mane and tail forever. Sweet.sweet, atttention seeking personality. And perfect BLACK. A Capuchinno son. BF CH in 4 regions. 4th Nationals BF CH, multi-region Pleasure CH and just a FUN riding horse and good buddy. A perfect Ambasador for the breed.

I wish to sell as I have young stock coming up. When you wish to sell proven stock of good pedigree, it becomes hard.
I desire to sell these horses at a fair price so I may have the monies to present our next generation. Or you may wish to take on an unproven horse.....we have 222 babies just getting started of outstanding potential. And others for show, trail or endurance prospects. .
I invite inquiries and offers. Also, advise SOURCES to promote potential sales. We appreciate the help. Thank you.
Really appreciate the congrats , some priced for the first time owner and some priced as investment for the serious breeder/owner.
We would LOVE to sell all 5 of these horses in time to present our young stock to qualify for Nationals. All these guys are already to go.
Again, inquiries are welcome.

Also, advise SOURCES to promote potential sales

You might try posting your sales horses in the classifieds section instead of the show section. That's where most people shopping for horses would search. We also put up For Sale signs on the stalls in front of the horses if we are trying to sell them, nex to their championship ribbons. After the awful prices all the 222 offspring brought at the last Nationals Auction, it may be hard to get what they are worth.

And, of course, the best source for sales is word of mouth from satisfied clients.
