What fun Classes have you competed in?At this show there was a Largo race and a Champain class.Would you compete in them if they where a real class?

I thought the 911 Rescue race at Hattiesburg was _extremely_ entertaining. The only actual mishap was a crushed vase at one corner of the sounding board. Who's watching for vases when you're racing to keep up with the horse you're 'leading'...? ;-)

Murfreesboro normally has barrels and poles.

On my drive home with Heath snoring and the Jinx sound asleep.I began to think of all kinds of things.
1st there were hardly any spectators this is normal at every show so i wondered does the show chair advertise the show in the local paper?Do people not come because they don't know? Joe public i'm sure does not get the Paso horse world.

What if he advertised our Saturday fun night? What if we mixed some fun classes within the real show? you know just to make it more interesting.
because sitting through 7 classes of fino horse can be a bit moch exspeaclly when a visitor does not does not understand the goings on thats one thing about Nat'l that I find enjoyable is the classes are all mixed up fino mares could be fallowed by pleasure gelding.
I just thing we as an ASSN: should set up our classes like we were entertaining a room full of spectators because if a few come and watch and have fun more will come right?
Everyone has so much fun on Sat. night wouldn't be nice to carry that all day?
If we set up a class like gaited barrels its a timed speed class if horse breaks gait or knocks down a barrel you wouls get a penalty fastest time wins we could have several of these kinds of classes anf I feel our shows would be more entertaining

again this is what one things about when driving many hours with a boyfriend and dog asleep next to you ;-)

I love the Largo Race (of course!! LOL) and we like to have the Wine Glass Class open to all breeds (really shows off how smooth the Paso Finos are). I have and would again show in both those classes.

We've also done Halloween Costume, In-Hand Trail, Novice classes, and this year we're doing "Equitheater" which is a (non Reining) routine to music.

I forgot about the 'in-hand trail' class... I'd like to see that, too - and would enter if it were offered.
