Gold Cup

Just booked rooms for the Gold Cup in Vegas.

What'a blast this is going to be. My daughter and GDaughter are going too but only for two days and they'll be taking in Circus~Circus one day who knows what else.

I'm sure Miss Maddy will have her first Paso ride. Yup yup, taking her new Troxel with me and of course my camera(s).

ps........just got back from Vegas w/daughter and we had a total blast........ahhhhhhh, those penny slots were SOOOOooooo good!

OH.........almost forgot to add........can't wait to see all the parade photos! Jose's writings have painted a very vivid picture of what it's all about. I'm sure he'll have much to write about after this parade!!!

I'ts great that Lori's going to be able to attend and I hope more of you guys will be able too also!

I just got back from Vegas, too. I stayed at the Luxor (the Pyramid)...where were you and your daughter? And did you mention above that your going to the NY Parade? I desperately want to go......I'm working on it.....

Oh we stayed at the Trop, no gambling there...tight slots but we managed to make our way down to the Stardust and then to the Venitian and several others......had some great luck on the penny slots, which I love. Took a bit but now I really like paper playing, not near as messy as coins.

And no, not hitting the parade, wish we could but another trip to Vegas for the Gold Cup is planned which is where I'll get to meet Lori. (unless I read her post wrong) Gold Cup is going to be a great "shot in the arm" for our breed in MHO. The biggest plus for me is I'll get some close up horsy smell since I've volunteered for groom duties.
Can't wait...........you should try and make it too.

De Los Mejores Ranch.........Vickie McQuinn and Johnnie Lanier and only "sub official" status but hay at least I'll have horse hair and smells and that's all I need really.

Official goffer and boot/tail shiner might be more like it.......LOL

Whatever they ask I'll try and get it done.......I know how many hands it takes to do a show of ANY size and every rider/trainer has their own way of doing things so I'll watch and repeat and try to stay outta their way. I'll be good at cooling off horses after classes, air conditioned arena or not, they'll still need walking, I'm sure.

Yup............camera handy for sure.

Hey Judy....

Yeah, I didn't gamble at all...I had a quarter teetering at the end of my fingers for a second, but I snatched it back up after I spied a pair of shoes in a window...Ha! I blew all my $$ on clothes instead! Sin City is awesome...I went to the Ventian - that place is AWESOME!!! It was my favorite!
Just my luck that the Paso Fino show happens AFTER I leave Vegas! Sheesh.....well have fun!
