Figured I would share some pics of them too so they don't feel left out. Both of these guys love water and rolling in the dirt. They dump their water out and roll in the mud. I swaer they only do it on days I want pictures. They are both 2 and were foaled a month apart. She is kind of on the small side and he is 15.1 already and has an estimated 5 more inches to go.

This is Liberty aka snotty princess:

Both very nice horses! Why is Merlin being sold? I like him a bit more

My husband loves his girl much better. I really think Merlin was an impulse buy for him. He was upset at missing out on the horse he wanted and I guess to fill that hole without thinking first. They both have good lines and he has been shown. And my husband was leaning heavy into having one in the future from them. Merlin also is a very very high spirited boy. I know he knows he should have just waited for another Paso and once we move I will help find him one old enough to be ridden and has a nice more calm attitude.

Funny thing is one lady is thinking about using him for Dressage and thinks he won't be tall enough.

Now that I see Paso's doing Dressage methinks she is full of it with height requirements.

There is no height requirement for Dressage, it's just her head that they have to be big like warmbloods or TBs. I rode my Paint that was 15.2 and competed against the 16-17 hand horses and beat them. It's all in the way they move. Saddlebreds actually make good dressage horses!

He is very light and airy on his feet and has those long looking legs. I would love for him to go to someone who does dressage personally. He won't get that here.

Yeah, I quite like Merlin too...very nice head and bright eye....

I feel bad about your deal with the Paso, I sure wish he could have waited, there are many nice horses around.

Good luck finding a nice home for him. I agree about Dressage, you only need a BIG horse if you are going to also do Eventing.

Snotty showed much jealousy today while I spent my time with Trinket. I got goosed from behind for loving pets through the stall bars. She did get some pets and a kiss. She had never acted that way when I took either of the past horses out. She was trying to show Trinket she was boss. Trinket looked at her and step sideways and ignored her. I almost died laughing. Trinket was not impressed with her highness.

Also got word back from the lady who was interested in Merlin for Dressage and she had major attitude saying what she was looking for (in a horse who before us had only been in a pasture for his entire life) was to see him go in all 3 gates for her and do ground work. He had been worked in a round pen 2 times his entire life. She said, "We Dressage people are very picky on horses we buy."

I guess I don't get people. She wanted perfection in a 2 yr old? She admitted to only having dealt and been on much older Saddlebreds. I wanted to reach through and give her a slap of reality. She thought he would be ready to ride only to be informed he had a year left to go before being ridden. *shakes head*

I guess you guys have seen all types that contact you for horses and are used to the oddballs. Oh well.

Doesn't surprise me a bit that the Paso was unimpressed w/her highness. Her bubble is about to be burst. ;-)

"We Dressage People"??? Most dressage horses aren't even started under saddlle until they are three or four years old. Now saddlebreds are line driven and put in cart at two a lot, sounds like she doesn't know what she is talking about. :-?
