My co-workers purchased me some nifty slang flash cards. The front of the box says that they are for people who are nerdy, uncool, or simply suburban. They are supposed to help you become more hip. We shall see. I figured there are some of you who could also use some help in this area so I am sharing a word a day with all of you. Let's try to incorporate the word into our posts for that day. I have already used todays word! Oh, and this information is straight off the back of the card.
Todays word is:
dank
definition -
1) possessing ideal properties "my obstetrician is dank"
2) Of high quality "That is one dank SUV"
3) tasty, potent "Yum- that broccoli is dank"
4) stylishly dressed "dank culottes, biz-natch!"
syn cool, nice, good, sweet, kick ***, awesome, tight, chill, dope, fly, ill, phat, sick.

2)exclamation following a put-down to emphasize the insult's incisiveness "your mama wears combat boots" "Oh, snap" - syn booyah, blam, take that, so there touche, moded

Well, snap! (I'm not even suburban, but I can handle that one!)
As to your "dank" ... I dunno.
Dank (dangk) adj. unpleasantly damp; moist; wet; The cave was dark, dank and chilly. (Middle English danke, perhasp < Scandinavian)
Now that is the definition I know! Does that make me ... nerdy?

What planet are these cards from?, I spent a whole weekend with teenagers and didn't hear those words used once! Does that mean our 4H teens are nerdy and uncool? OH, SNAP! and here I was thinking I was hanging with the hip crowd.
oh snap! I hear that all the time but don't use it
