Mama is a mare by the name of Annalisa de Navidad who is a bay roan. Annalisa carries a bit of buckskin in her ancestry (Maria Diosa - a Retador daughter - buckskin) and Volare Maid (Volare/Bailiwick's Coqueta - buckskin) and a bit of gray (Emballo que tal and Amorsita LaCE).
Annalisa is a sweet, sweet mare we bred to Red two years ago. Her owners were so thrilled with Salsita that they rushed a second mare to the vet and lutalysed her last year, the mare that delivered the little chestnut filly with the blaze this year, another Rojo daughter!
That's what we like...happy, satisfied clients who come back for more! :D
Here's that filly again, her mama is a gray mare by the name of Estrella Moveda.

She looks very nice! We used to own a Maria Diosa son back in 70's from Marichal...he was chocolate brown..Machismo con vivo. Maria Diosa was a PPR golden dappled buckskin.

Interesting, both of the mare's parents are registered as bay. One of them had to be roan. I am guessing it came from the Con Vivo lines. If I remember correctly, they had some roan horses.
