Q was running around with the evening crazies and I took the oportunity to go out with the camera.

I was trying to get her centered in the frame and when I came in to check all the pics, I saw this one that had me wondering. Many of her 'faster' pics, I thought she was cantering, but IF she was, she was cross-firing because in most of the pics her same side legs were moving, but not in complete unison like the second beat of a canter where the two legs land together...they'd have landed 'off'.

Is she in gait in this pic?

Trot?
I didn't think it looked like a trot, because to me her supporting diagonals seem too close, unless she is transitioning into a trot from a faster speed...? Hmm. :?:
I do see her gaiting at liberty, more and more often now...but when I have the camera I'm trying to get the camera to do what I want and not watching her.

I would not say trot because her motion is too far forward. The left front will be the next leg to hit ground and I don't think the right hind has time to catch up to it to hit at the same time. But It's possible. Could be a four beat canter as well and if you think she was cantering most of the time that you were snapping pictures, that would be my bet.
