Terri and Erin's excellent Paso Adventure

in Vermont. My buddy Erin and I packed up our horses and headed north on Friday. It was a beautiful Spring weekend and we went to visit Erin's friend in Orwell Vt and ride in a benefit trail ride for a local food pantry. When we got there the boys settled in right away!

We enjoyed a nice evening by the camp fire with good company, good snacks and uplifting beverages.
On saturday we played around the farm with our horses; riding and groom (scrapping of good Vermont clay)

The next day we set off for the trail ride. It was 8 miles over beautiful mountian scenery. Here is Erin and her friend at the starting point.

One lady was so excited to see pasos she wanted to try one right away. So I let her take Rio for a few minutes and I rode the Morab.

needless to say she enjoyed the Paso so much I had a hard time getting him back. The benefit was a success, they raised $1,800! Our horses behaved like angels all weekend. Rio was so tired from his adventure I noticed him eating his hay laying down this morning. Poor baby. :lol:

Gosh what great photos! Looks like you guys had a wonderful time. Sniff.....I sure miss days like those..........

And don't ya love it when ya catch your horse doing those cute things, ie.....eating laying down! How totally cute.

Abby, you didn't have a coggins??? THATS why you didn't come???? Didn't you just buy Paco last Nov? Didn't you have to have a fresh coggins then?
