Is he going to be black?

I would say dark bay as he looks to have brown around his nose. A black horse will have black around the nose but the body color pretty much the same as what he has. He will probably be dark enough that most people will think he is black though.

He is adorable! And your mare is very pretty too!

Actually, he doesn't have brown around his nose, that is from the pellet shavings, he was covered in them as he was still damp. These photos were taken right after he was born and up to 2 hrs. after birth

What ever color the precious thing turns out to be...it will be stunning. Love the hind sock. 8-) And such a nicely shaped head....just like the mare. 8-)

The mare is Melusina La Estancia out of Contra-Sucesor, grandson of Contrapunto and she has Mariachi International on her dams side
