I hope this is clear enough. The bladder line is the nerve center for your horse. You do the test from the front pocket down the side and over the rump. Approximatly 4 inches down from the spine. The first Video is of Noche. He appears fine.

This one is of Rebel, Notice the flinching in the pocket at first. Sincehe stops reacting I would think the first reaction was just reflex.

And the last is Contrados, You can see him react strongly. I will have to keep an I on Him and not ride again while he is this reactive. He done 2 Parades this week and he could be sore either in the feet or just from the work outs. But if your horse reacts like this I would not saddle it up.

I was using a busted plastic pitch fork. A pen works fine. I usually use a dull hoof pick.

This is why saddle fit is so important. The saddle should lay right along this line on the horse. And if it is twisted or improper fit it will not have even pressure all along this line. Vickie first loved the Idea of flex panel saddles until she researched them with a university in Texas. Though they are better than many saddles that don't fit a horse The panels are fixed and don't flex in the four points the panels are connected to the saddle which the horse feels with the more time they are ridden.

I went straight to the barn and did the test on both our guys. They're fine. But the other night one of the lesson horses was acting up, and when I did the test, he was REALLY sore. Helped me do my diagnostics...so thanks!

I'm going to try that today on the horses, if they should happen to flinch/move/react or something, what's the best thing to do? Rest? Check the saddle fit?

I tried it on both my guys , on both sides, and nothing, they seemed to just love it like I was giving them a good rub!
