My neighbor/friend took me as her guest today for my first EVER pedicure.
What a wonderful experience! We sat together at the back room where two massage chairs (for our backs/necks) with foot baths were and we each had a lady doing our feet. There was clipping, scrubbing, massaging, oiling and lotioning going on before the toenails were finally painted. The foot/leg massages lasted about 20 minutes for EACH FOOT/LEG and felt heavenly. *sigh*
I think I'm going to have to spoil myself with regular summer pedicures, now. I may even try to talk hubby into going, I know he'd enjoy the leg and foot massage.

I know, isn't it awesome? They're never close enough when you really need it though, like after a long day walking in the city. ;-)

Pedicures are definitely a luxury! My favorite Spa is at The Hard Rock Hotel.... AWESOME Spa! A Salt Scrub, a Hot Rock Massage, Facial then Pedicure is the ultimate way to spend a morning.

I love the idea of it, but for some reason never have been able to elt anyone touch my feet. I have some kind of foot phobia  Feet scare me. Other people's feet too. The worst thing my husband can do is touch me with his feet. I feel like such a nut! I know it would feel good to have it done and envy those who get it done.

I know what you're saying, Jenn...
It was difficult for me at first to relax while she was handling my feet. It was just... so... strange. Ya know? Those are my TOES you're handling there! Careful, that's ticklish!
I think it is just something about having a stranger (not a Dr) handle a part of you...
This neighbor took me last year for a facial and I had a similar problem with the girl massaging my face. THAT was very difficult for me to relax..much easier for me to get over having my feet handled than my face.
Hmmm. I wonder if my neighbor/friend is trying to turn me into a girly-girl?
