Sort of...
Dial 1-800-FREE-411 for free call information...

Here's the snopes page and status with caveats...

That's pretty cool especially when you are caught without change and your cell phone is dead (uhh not me uhh nope nope). Or after my 1 free 411 call for the month and I need another. Thanks for posting it, I will pass it along.

It isn't quite as smooth a transaction as the paid-for 411, but to save the charges on the several 411 calls I make each month - it's worth a shot...

Thank you.... Thank you ... Thank you..

I make a load of phone calls searching for owners of lakefront property to sell in North Central Florida and the charge for information from Alltel is high.... I

It's not as quick as regular 411.... but hey for free.... I have patience...

No kidding - not lightening fast - but I have spent too much money on the road on my cell phone with no phone book to look up ph#'s.....

We started putting a yellow/white pages in the car last year because most times what you need is in it. And I got tired of paying hundreds of dollars because he would not stop for directions, knew where it was "really" (yeah right) or got bad directions. Saves a lot of calls.
