What a cute little guy! How old is he? Does he have a story? Since i am new I miss all the backgrounds on most of your horses/animals.

What do you use to get him so white?

I use Fiebing's Blue Frost whitening shampoo and conditioner. Another factor that makes Mojo look so white is he still has his winter coat. When and IF he sheds, he will be cream colored with a white blaze & snip. His mane and tail remain white. If you wet him to the skin in the summer, he looks pink, which is kind of trippy, methinks.

Thanks for asking Cindy. Mojo's stifle got better with a few days of cold water hosing and liniment. It still bothers me that he got injured so easily, but from what I have read, is that it is quite common in younger horses to have this problem, especially TB's and Warmbloods.

Mojo will be 3 at the end of August. The shortish version of Mojo's story is I found him at the farm of a "collector" while I was there looking for a pony for my son. The adult horses were all well fed and their hooves were OK, but, they were kept in extremely overcrowded and dirty conditions. Mojo was there with his mom and I couldn't resist his sad, scrawny, dirty self.

CRAP! I spoke too soon. Mojo has aggrevated his stifle. I feel like a turd because I haven't had much time for the horses these past couple of days and I didn't catch it right away. It is popping in and out if he pivots on it. I can't get him to the vet until Monday, it's back to cold water, Bute & linimint.

I think he did it by launching himself out of the barn. I was able to capture the pre-launch shot, and the landing shot. The actual flight was too fast for me to capture.

Sorry, Barb. Hope I did not jinx you by asking. I had a three year old filly that had this problem with her left stifle. We finally injected the stifle and had no more problems with it. Unfortunately, for some reason, making the left one better made the right one go bad so we injected that one as well and no more problems. That was last summer. She is four now and has not had a problem since. I believe they grow out of it. The injection was pretty spendy but worked great.

So Barb..how is he doing now? Hopefully he will grow out of the problem...but a shot is worth considering to help keep it "locked in"....
