The vendors at Youth Mundial are being required by the facility to carry a million dollar liability policy.... I have heard quotes of several hundred dollars for add-on riders to existing policies to $700+ for a 7 day stand-alone policy....
Since the vendor fee is $500 per 10 x 10 booth - adding a huge insurance premium on top of all the expenses to provide inventory, vendor fee, travel expenses, plus insurance are going to make it prohibitive for a lot of the smaller vendors.
I can't believe the show's insurance policy couldn't be reworked to cover paid riders on the insurance policy to include the vendors... You know, we t-shirt and jewelry vendors are a dangerous lot... :roll:
Any insurance agents out there with any suggestions? I was really looking forward to working this event. :roll:
