Okay, Princessa is my 1/2 PP, 1/2 QH mare. Here's what she looked like when I got her last summer:

After dieting, excercise, muzzling, dry lotting, etc.... please tell me she looks skinny now :roll: This was taken today: (yard grass is a treat after we ride- she's not eating like this all the time ;-) )

She is such an awesome horse - with tons of energy. She does have a thick neck. Is this a common Peruvian trait?

I think she looks good, neck does not look as 'cresty'. Our gelding is half pp and he has a very thick neck, but not a big, fat, crest (does that make scense?). It is great when horses and people work out!

Well, she looks more toned to me, but not a LOT skinnier. ;-) She reminds me very much of the build PasoMoms mare has. It took her riding hard on a regular basis for that mare to actually look like she dropped some weight. Right now we have had her in training while she is being breed in Miami, and she has a nice shape and great condition. But she is getting ridden at least 5 days a week. ;-)

I think she looks fine.

I bet part of her stockiness comes from the QH - I bet that half comes from one of those big old stocky foundation types. I don't think I have ever seen one of them that was "skinny"

I would have to see a 'now' pic of her with her head up in the same position as last year to judge the crest.She has a way to go , but does look better.Some of them are so hard to get weight off of.

She is beautiful. I love her markings. Yes I think the dieting is working she looks a lot better that in the first picture.

No! She is a fat cow; butcher her and put her in your freezer.

Yes, it would help to have her head up standing more/less in the same position, but I'll go along with her being thinner. Her butt is smaller and leaner and there is some defination in her neck which there wasn't before. I also don't see noticable fat pillows under her withers.

GOOD JOB! It's hard to diet these girls.
