Lori! Hellooooo, my horses are barefoot......btw, I actually had to trim Pj when I got back. His feet are solid....such a "tough guy" ;-)

Nope....go back ad really look at that favorite photo of mine where you and I are taking off......seperate Amante's and Pj's hooves....see, my boy doesn't have metal shoes on, just his "natural shoes" - his hoof ;-)

His hooves weren't as loud as the others, but they made noise.....AND he didn't slip once...eveyone else's I saw slip at least once. Even in the oil spill towards the end.

Terri, I would give Rio a chance, these horses can really surprise you. ie: my gelding Medias is a bit of a wuss, but OMG he loves being in front of a crowd. Something about being the center of attention tends to put these horses "in the zone".

Thanks T !!! You CAN do it...Rio would probably be on someone's butt for the first ten minutes, but that is as bad as its gonna get......they are already desensitized to the noise as they are being tacked up.....the best way I can describe it is its like they go into shock.

You've seen Pj have a mild meltdown on the trail.....this was his 1ST parade...Rio woould have no choice but to be fine with it.

I've GOT to ask since I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere and it is bugging me...

Why does Jose's (I think it is Jose) horse have blue vetwrap on one of its hind fetlock/pasterns? What type of injury did it have? I find the blue vetwrap distracts me when I view those pictures as it draws my eye and I want to know why it is there....maybe if I know, it won't be so distracting.

OMG that was scarey! Lori and I were right behide Jose when it happened. All of a sudden, a BIG chunk of wood came flying out from under the trailer and landed in front of us. Lori got on her cell and called Jose to tell him. We pulled over, in shock one and all.

First put your pictures on a free photo hosting website like photobucket (they give very clear instructions) or on your own website. Once you do that you just copy the link to the picture preceded by and end it with

Okay, go to Photobucket, sign up, and download pix. Then open up pix, right click on it, and go to "Properties". This will give you a "URL address", and "Dimensions"......first, you'll want the dimensions to be 600x800 or vice versa...if they aren't then go back to when its just a small pic and it has the options "Move", "Edit, or "Delete" above it. Go to "Edit", it will have a resize option which will already be on the "50% of original" option - use this, press resize. NOW, go back to opening up the picture, right click on it, go to "Properties" again (dimensions should be approx 600x800 now), highlight the URL address, copy it, then got to your "reply Post" on APF.com, click on the "Img" box above, paste your URL address, and hit the "Img" button again. Done.
