I guys mom was very happy to here of this new site...and said to say thanks for adding it to the board!
Now for the info:
She was telling me that about 5-6 years ago she was looking online at a Columbian mare, being bragged as Columbian lines, was actually a *Suspiro daughter! *Suspiro was a PP stallion that was on the back of the PP horse world magazine for many issues! He was a beautiful grey stallion with incredable bloodlines.
Antoher tid bit she mentioned was that *Piloto daughters were bred to El Pastor. So to find PP in our PF's is not only curious but happened quite often.

Yes Cindy El Pastor is FULL Columbian but what I'm saying is that HE was bred to PP mares! And these foals are in PFHA. And many others too.
This can give people an idea of where the PP bloodlines come into PF's.
There are many PP stallions and mares that where used to breed to PF's over the years. JUST because it isn't allowed any more doesn't mean that PP are not already in PFHA.

Oh, I am very well aware of that as the horse that I grew up with was half Peruvian and a multi-National Champion Paso Fino. Just wanted to make sure that your post was not misread to some to think that Pastor was Peruvian.
:D PPR and PF's are Paso Finos - Theres the Colombian and then there is the PPR they can both be bred together and still be registered ...

Nito, we are talking about Peruvian horses. We used to be able to register Peruvians as Paso Finos in this country as well but cannot any more.
OOPS didn't see what forum this was in..... SORRYYYYY <3
How come they are not allowed? I always found it weird cause in some equine books - paso fino's do not exist its only Paso's as in Peruvian..

Yeah, and in some of them they combine the description of the Paso Fino and the description of the Peruvian into one garbled mess.
Many years ago the powers that be got together and decided that the Peruvian Paso was too different in their movement to be considered the same as the Paso Fino in this country and they stopped allowing them to be registered. It is kind of a shame because the crosses were some pretty darn good horses.
Exactly theres this one book I always see with the different info and confusing.....
They are like awesome performance horses... with different speeds of largo.. Cause some look exactly like a paso fino..
