This is my filly, Solana de la Pluma. She is 3 months old tonight. I cannot believe how fast she has grown. She has a very cute personality and always whinnies when she hears me coming down to the barn, or when we are driving up the driveway. She loves to be paid attention to and will walk up to greet anybody that will pet or scratch her. She got her first bath this weekend and would only stand still if I was scratching her! The only bad habit she is still doing is nibbling on people. I am constantly elbowing her or scooting her nose away from me. She hasn't seemed to learn that this is not OK! Maybe I need to be a little more drastic with teaching her NO? She did kick me once, and I kicked her back and immediately felt horrible about it, but she never did it again! I am wondering what you all think about what shade of palomino she will be. Her leg without the sock is shedding out and I see a really dark brown underneath. Her dad is a very dark golden palomino and mom is a dark bay. I will love her no matter what color she is, but I am just curious and can't stand the wait to see!
Here she is spotting our kitty.

LOL.......love the "wanna play" look. They are so funny when they try and scare ya into doing what they want, aren't they tho?
Great photos, they bring back some fond memories, for sure.
Pretty filly, by the way.

She is just adorable!
That first pic reminds me of my boy when he was about that age. He was similar in color and is turning into a smutty palomino.

Oh she is so cute. I don't know what color she will be, but I bet it will go nicely next to my black horse. Congratulations on her. She is a winner!

What a cute filly... thanks for sharing the pics. She looks like a mischievious imp... aren't they a blast to watch grow up?
If she turns a nice, dark palomino you will probably want to get rid of her and you can just give me a call and I'll help you with that. ;-)

Hey Rosa is beautiful!! Is she about 4 months old now? Her mid section looks darker than the rest of her, is that her color after shedding?
When I bought the mama horse pregnant last fall, I bought her without the baby because back then, there was no way I wanted a baby yet! I planned on sending her back to the breeder after weaning. LOL, 5 minutes after the birth I changed my mind! I just sold one of my geldings, so I was able to purchase the baby. We are so happy with her. She can be a little imp, but she is so funny!

They are both blonde beauties. They could be sisters. ;-)

She's beautiful, Laura. It's a good thing you bought her, because I don't see how you could possibly let her go.

Hi Laura!Rosa is five months old now but might be a little behind other five month olds because of not being able to nurse when she was born and the whole IGg fiasco. The dark color you see on her midsection is the baby hair she hasn't let go of to shed yet.Usually they shed out darker, she did just the opposite. She loves to keep me guessing LOL.Your friend,Moniece

Hi Moneice, Yes I remember Rosa's story when she was born. Everything that went on with her scared me sh!tless because my first baby paso was coming! It has been nice to follow her progress and to see what I have to look forward to with my baby that is 2 months younger! You have done a great job with Rosa!
