Woohoo! Phoebe's registration went through

I have been checking the transaction registry pretty often to see if her registration went through - she is there today. Her official name is now "Graciela de Dorada"

I wonder how long it will take for her papers to arrive?

Lori Novia Dulce de Gracia is my mare nicknamed Ladybug. She is a full sister to Mel's mare "Graciela de Dorada" nicknamed Phoebe, tater, etc. hehehe .......gets confusing all these names and family relatives........

and appyday...Ladybug isn't bloodtyped...she was born before that was required. She will need it (DNA) though to register any foals. Have to get one on the ground first!!!!!!!!!! maybe next year XXX

I wanted a name that fit her when I first got her. I did not have an inkling about what I would register her as. I like Greek Mythology so I was going to name her after a goddess but I could not find one I liked. I went to a Greek name site and found Phoebe. It means bright or brilliant. I thought that fit her since she seemed to be very intelligent and curious when I got her. I am also a huge fan of Charmed so that helped a bit too. She also can be a bit like the Phoebe that was on Friends when she is in a mood. ;-) She will be Phoebe from now on, the name has stuck.

Now as far as her registered name goes, I ran across Graciela and thought it was perfect since Lynn G of Gracewood farms told me about her. The "de Dorada" part is a nod to her dam, Dorada del Rosa since Phoebe was her last foal.

Sooooo much thinking involved in this naming stuff. ;-)
