I had a friend who wanted me to try her out cause she doesn't know anything about pasos. I don't think she is a good horse for my friend but I just loved her. To bad I have decided to hold off on getting a horse till I get out of school.

really good pleaure lines there. With some of the top lines it should be a tall horse.
She stands about 14.3. We rode for about 2 hours and she was still wanting to go. My only complaint is her gait wasn't consistant BUT that might be because she is carrying a few extra pounds, she hated the bit that was in her mouth and I couldn't get her to carry her head right, or lack of training. When I did get her in gait she was so smooth. My friend would have a problem with the fact you have to keep constant contact cause she wants to go go go. She is definately not a horse you can just sit in the saddle like a bump on a log. She is quick to respond to cues. The last time I rode a paso was about 10 months ago and I forgot about how quick they are. I about lost my seat when I did a figure 8 cause how fast and tight she did it. Oh I so wish I had time for a horse right now. I have been invited back out to ride cause the owner doesn't like to ride her. Oh well maybe if she doesn't sell in the next 17 months.

I love the pedigree would say a very "type" traditional paso fino.

Judging from the pedigree, she should be very well-gaited, its probably a matter of it not being the correct bit for her, esp if the headset is off- if she cant hold her head properly because the bit is restricting her(and bits ARE designed to make a horse carry its head a certain way, and the NECK conformation is important as to whether it works or not), and she is being thrown off balance..that would explain her not being able to gait properly....proper balance is a necessity!
