Maggies mom purchased a used Sundowner Two horse straight load with manger. (93 model that couldnot have been used more than a couple hand full of times. This trailer looks brand new. So I told her if we could use the trailer we would put her on our insurance and she could use one of our vehicles when she needs to.
So any how I was able to take everyone out for work on Saturday. With the way my trailer is I just did not feel right risking injury to any horse other than my own. this also allows me to get mine in for repairs. Well when it came Noches' turn we had about an hour of loading arguement. I guess the ramp was new to him and he had to learn something new.
Well you talk about a wonderful ride with him. He just nocked my socks off. The only arguement was a side walk crossing and then a cross walk on the road. But a quick rebuttle was all and on our way we went. We worked on maintaining gait but no head throwing or noseing out. He literally enjoyed himself. Ears forward excited to see what was around the next corner. Actually stopped to grab a bite to eat at times not one of those jerk my head done to do what I want, but a relaxed stop grab a bite look around and off again. We got back to the house and instead of running off when unhalterd he followed me around as if I was his buddy. I stopped to fill the water tub and as i stood there he laid his head on my shoulder from behind and let out a big sigh.
I think he is finnally a happy horse.
