I think I am going to have to start taking Lady out and about more often. She has spent the past week at a Hanoverian farm/Vet clinic to be bred. I went to pic her up today and all of the people at the barn came out to see her off. She got carrots and hugs and soooo many compliments on her beauty and sweet temperment. Everyone there was so amazed at her wonderful manners and calm disposition. They said that she had really made them change their mind about Arabians. They all were calling her the Barbie Horse. Lady knew that she had a fan club and was in FULL princess mode as I led her to the trailer. Her neck was arched, tail flagged and every step was light and careful. She turned and whinnied to her neighbor who whinnied back. All of the people thought that was soooo sweet.

Maybe one of them will want to lease her next year and get a half Hanoverian baby...

Oh, how exciting! I hope she has a little one in the oven finally!!

I used to have a grey arab gelding (before kids). They are wonderful horses who don't deserve their stereotype.

Good luck!

There are some wonderful Arabs out there - I used to work for a couple, taking care of their 1 black stallion (Was actually 1/2 brother to the horse that played the Black Stallion in the movies!) and a grey gelding. Both were wonderful to ride on trails.

I also worked on a breeding farm with some psycho horses - mostly retired show mares/stallions.....so I've seen the spectrum!

I'm telling ya, ASB - she didn't eat his mane and tail! I think the people that had them must have owned goats or something! She has never ever offered to eat any of my horses manes or tails.

...Speaking of special, where are those pics of Bob, the farrier loving horse? ;-)

Give me till this evening... I am working on getting all the pictures & the video loaded. Won't be long until his story of farrier love reveals itself. ;-)
