After pumping out my basement this morning, I took a ride down to the fairgrounds on my way to work. The Mohawk River is over its' banks, and the entire racetrack is under FEET of water.....couldn't get back to the arena due to the water, but I can tell you most of the barns are flooded.
Now for the GOOD news......when I had the bagged shavings delivered last Friday, I DID NOT have them put in their usual place - 2nd barn which is now flooded!.....Instead we put them in the Goat/sheep barn - which was still above water when I stopped there @10am.
So - if the stalls are still too wet, I am going to see about using the goat/sheep barn for stabling - there are still stalls set up from the NYS Barrel Racing Championships held there the end of May.
