No, I didn't know there was both. I just notices on the class list from Nationals seeing the name.
So what is the difference between Gold, silver, and a regular class?

Lori, The "medal" Eq. classes are advanced equtation classes. Silver medal Eq. classes are held at regional shows, and only at Nat. there is a Gold Medal Eq. class. In these classes you are required to memorize a pattern before the class. You do all of the normal rail work, then you perform the pattern. The pattern can consist of doing figure-eights, serpentines, backing up, side-passing, circles, going across the board, and dismounting and remounting. In order to qualify for the Gold Medal class at nat. you must place 1st or 2nd at a regional show. Gold and silver medal classes are open to both sub-jr. and junior riders, and there are no age splits. Hope this helps!!! :D
