View Full Version : Asking For Some Fingers Crossed

Long story short, the house we wanted to move into can't go through. The student loan my husband has is reporting him late even though they get paid on time twice a month and it KILLED his credit. They refuse to fix them even if it was paid in full.

But, my folks are moving out here next year to reture and have been up her elooking at property. They want a huge house done to their specs but we want a smaller house. We had been told you can't have a guest home bigger then the main home but were told this week you can just make the second home the main home if it's bigger, it has been allowed.

The piece of property with neat horse facilities we REALLY wanted was already in a 90 day escrow.

Yesterday I was at the feed store getting cough stuff for poor Trinket when I saw the sheet on the house there. I asked them aboput the 90 day escrow and they told me it fell through.

Now it so happens the lady who is on the board of zoning is their friend who works there and I need to get ahold of her this week to see if in fact wee could do what we are thinking.

My folks only want a bit of land and could put their house on the property as the main house next year. My folks are buying the home and when we sell ours we give them a down payment and take over payments. The initial downpayment would be for their part of the property so only between now and when our house would sell there would be a few months of scrimping to cover both payments.

The house is not what I want but I don't really care. I want better horse facilities so I can get these horses training and in better conditions. It has a grass paddock area aas well as a stallion stall that is a/c ready. The property is not that big but everything is well placed.

Everything depends on if the folks can put their home on it. And how much this person can do to make us all happy.

I go to see the house at noon tomorrow to make sure it's big enough because their MLS listing does not match the sheet they had with info on the home. As long as we have 1 guest room and an office, we will be fine.

While this is not medical, this is something that would vastly improve our lives and animals lives so if you have a few spare thoughts, please think of us.

Oops I forgot to add that we had been looking for property together before but found nothing with horse facilities so were going to purchase separate properties. I would prefer living on the same property together so I can take care of them as they get older.

I would say cross everything but knowing some here asking to cross everything would ruin their adult bedroom follies

I admit when we found out we could not get the other house and there were zero properties with horse facilities available out of over 400 listed, that I kept waiting for the right thing to happen.

Only 2 things stopping it from happening, financing (we may have to purchase water rights which are another 32k ugh) and zoning.

It's easier to work with credit problems when an account is unpaid.
The creditor wants to get paid and usually, they will "fix" some things,
if you "show them the money".

You can dispute the item and they have 30 days to respond.
If they don't, the credit bureau must tale it off.
It's like a time table game.
But, the inquiry needs to go thru the credit Bureau.

If all else fails, you attempt that they mark the account,
"rating upon request".

Please remember, there are three credit bureaus.
The Fair Credit Reporting link provides info on all three bureaus.

We have gone through the dispute twice already. A company we paid disputed all this stuff for us but it turned out to make our credit worse. Their quick 45 day turn around has been almost 6 months with much tearing out of the hair. We will dispute it again with the letter they sent. I did also contact the BBB in case that would help. Never heard of it helping anyone or me the fewe times I contacted them.

We have to get out of this house asap. We found out they are putting in well over 800 low income homes across the street from us. I do NOT want to live next to that. We bought this place because it had lots of barren land around. Guess this guy was grandfathered in and they approved it last year. We tried to fight but they told us it was too late. Plus this is NOT horse friendly country and the neighbors suck, the horses don't have what they need and this other place may need dog fencing but it's much better for everyone all around. I am putting the animals needs above my own. It would be nice to have a bigger house but just not something we can do so we get what's better for them.

So I will cross everything that when I see it tomorrow it will work and that I can convince the lady on the zoning board who is friends with us and this lady to see if what we want can be approved.

It's 1 mile from the mountains and BLM land betwen there and the mountains. This would be as close to a dream come true for me as could be possible (besides winning the lotto lol)

And it's closer to the feed store = ) Only a mile away then.

Good Luck!!! Isn't it funny how our horses come first even with real estate?

I would say cross everything but knowing some here asking to cross everything would ruin their adult bedroom follies

I looked at the place with Troy today. The outside is all we want and more. There IS a perfect place for the folks to put their home. There is a solar heated small inground pool with a ledge all the way around and the dogs will LOVE it.

Just need to add in fencing for the dogs. If we do it ourselves it will be a GAZILLION times cheaper.

The inside was ok. It has enough room for us but puts me and Troy in our bedroom with both our desks. No mater bath in the room. No sunken tub.

I hate the walls inside and they need texturing and painting. The kitchen is on the small side. Only 2 bedrooms. Dining are may fit our stuff.

It has a nice decks in back.

No grass anywhere but I do want to put some in the front area.

She piled the horse poop all in one area that will need to be cleaned out for the folks house.

ALL of the animals will be much happier there and I will be happier and less stressed because they are happier. And the whole front rooms are not carpeted but vinyled to look like tile. Much easier to clean boo-boos in the house.

Before I toured the place I went to see the lady we know on the Zoning board. Turns out she just quit, UGH! But she let me know everything to say and do to make it happen and who to talk to. The lady we needed to speak to won't be back until Wednesday but we asked for the forms and they said "OH it's like the one we just did." So it can and does happen and it's not a big deal.

I am trying to not be too excited but so far everything is working out right. Folks will be up Saturday to look at it.

So keep everything crossed still, it may just well happen = )

Oh yeah wanted to add the huge horse washrack has hot and cold water and perfectly set up to wash the dogs anytime of year, yeah!!!!
