Yesterday I was in an accident and wrecked the front of my car = 500.00 deductible, and 120.00 ticket (my fault, it was raining and I hydroplaned into another car. It was bad enough that I could not drive it and had to have it towed. I sat at the accident for over 2 hours trying to get my insurance agency to tell me what to do next, ie car rental, towing expenses who pays what and waiting for the tow truck then I had to run around all day trying to get my ducks in a row. (Thank you to my co-worker Don for helping me out) I finally got to Enterprise to get my rental only to find out that my insurance company will only cover 15.00 per day or 400.00 period. Anyone that has rented a car knows that you can’t find a rental for 15.00 so I was responsible for the balance of the daily fee. =200.00 deposit. (The insurance appraiser nor the body shop has done an estimate so we are not sure how long I am going to need the rental but it looks like at least 2 weeks or more). So, I get the car home, take my daughter to her school concert come back home and go to bed. To make this long story short, I was rear ended this morning on my way to work. I was sitting at a stop sign and apparently the man was not paying attention and hit me. I called Enterprise to report the accident after I call the police and my insurance agency. Enterprise asked me to bring the car back in so they could give me a replacement. When I got there I was told that the only way I could get a replacement was to pay my 500.00 deductible. I told them that it was not my fault and they still would not let me go. They wanted to make sure they got their money incase his insurance would not pay. I can not believe this. I have never had an accident in my life, now 2 in 2 days? I am sure I will not beable to get a car, any car until next week when the appraiser come out to look at the car and approves the claim. Bottom line, please say a prayer for me to have better luck next year.
