I purchased a mare that is supposed to be pure Columbian. She was imported to the U.S. and has foreign papers. When I got her, they gave me copies of her papers and told me I would recieve the originals. I have not ever received them and it has been over a year. Is there a way I can get her papers and get her transfered in my name? From the copy I have her papers are all in Spanish. She was bred when I got her and the PFHA registered the foal without any problems. I am new to Paso Finos and especially lost when it comes to foreign papers.

Is there anyway to get ahold of the old owners...I believe you have to have the originals to change ownership. Do you have a bill of sale?

Are the papers in the name of the previous owner? What does PFHA say you need to do. Where are the sellers?
