Tikal de Nevado at Alexandra Paso Finos..........is now a proud part of the apf.com breeding stallion selection. Thanks so much to Marelyn Valdes.

Tikal was shown by his former owner in Puerto Rico and did well in their fino classes. He has two black sons which have just started showing down there, but I don't know any more about them.

He has been shown in performance and pleasure in the US. He was in the Top Ten Paso Finos in 2004 in the USEF and is again in the 2005 Top Ten Paso Finos in the USEF. He has a wonderful personality for a stallion and loves attention. He is an elegant black roan with a luxurious mane and forelock.

He has produced a black daughter, palomino daughter and a dark chocolate shade chestnut colt with flaxen mane and tail with my mares. His stud fee is $1,500 and he still has a breeding available through the PFHA Stallion Service Auction for half price. He is at Twin Roses Paso Finos in Georgia with Don Primrose and should be standing there for several months, except for when Don brings him to Ocala to service some of my mares. If his breeding doesn't sell through the auction, I plan to pay the PFHA to make his offspring eligible for the Breeders Sweepstakes. When his foals become a little older, I will also probably enter him into the Piedmont Futurity, where the offspring can win money from yearling through 5 years old.
Next contest starts now and ends Jan 15th. Winner to be announced by Jan 30, 2006.

If you are going to enter him in the Piedmont futurity and you already have foals on the ground, go ahead and do it before the foals get older. They show starting as yearlings and it is much cheaper to nominate the foals as yearlings than it is when they are older.

Thanks, Cindy for the info. The foals are just weaned a couple of months and being a procrastinator, I'm just now getting around to registering them. I figured I would pay for Tikal before the end of this period (isn't it March?) so any foals would be eligible at the next Asheville show. Of course, I've got another stallion to add (my El Classico son I gelded so Alex could show fino and she changed her mind....grrrr). I've got a barn full of his foals and a few are bella forma candidates. And we both know how Don just loves to limp around the ring with a bella forma yearling or two.....LOL And then next year I should have a bunch of Plebeyo Dos foals, so he will be added to their futurity later on. Boy, I guess I should get all my babies out of one stallion or just breed to someone already in the auction. My gelding. Pistolero de Alexandra, has won money at Asheville and he made the Top Ten Geldings list again.

I'm also waiting for Georgia Region to add their futurity and plan to make sure Tikal and my other stallions are part of that, too.

I wanna see more entries in my email.....so far I only have a handful and I KNOW there are a bunch of you out there that would LOVE to have a breeding to one of the fine stallions in our selection. :D
