Is trying to catch your horse:

They put 22 head of horses in the hay field behind me for the winter. They had to catch some yesterday (not sure why), so they have to herd them into a catch pen at one end and then run the ones they want into a chute to catch. Not the way I'd choose to board my horse for the winter, but a lot of people do.
It would be a cool picture except for the new houses they built on the other side. Really ruining my view!

That one actually has a funny story with it. The horses were all excited because at that time there were 20 horses. They broght in a stock trailer and unloaded two more horses. Those horses raced towards the herd, but then the herd turned and raced to great them. They both wheeled around and jumped right back in the stock trailer! ROFL!!!

Boy why can't my horses jump in the trailer like that...maybe next time I'll try letting a few horses charge at them..

Lynn, the way I see that ending is my horses freaking out and dragging me away and the horses who are charging jump in the trailer themselves , with horses you never know LOL

Mine are only in a 20 acre pasture and it's hard enough!! I can't imagine 180!! There are folks close by that have hundreds of acres. They make a habit of going out and feeding treats with their pickup - they just honk the horn and the horses come running. When they want to catch one, they go out and do the same. BUT, then you have to worry about getting mugged!!

Thanks for sharing. Those pics brought back memories of my summer in the Catskills. I remember bringing in the hack horses and prayin' all were accounted for. Don't laugh, sometimes we were a few short!

I don't know...there's something about a herd of running horses that just catches your breath. They are very awesome.
